About Us
Poverty Alleviators is an organisation that helps address root causes of poverty and inequality by improving lives and empowering change. We support the homeless, children, youths and single-parent families who are suffering from social deprivation, or are vulnerable. We provide training, counselling and advice.
We organise workshops for the unemployed on how to write a good CV and also provide free training on how to fill out job applications and how to find job vacancies. We also organise workshops for children of single mothers. The idea is to train children without a father figure in their life, to learn to dress knot a tie, polish shoes, and live indepently.
We also provide funding for sporting activities such as football which otherwise, they could not afford.
We distribute food, clothes, shoes, and blankets to the homeless. We provide advice to those suffering homelessness and also give them information of other charities and government organs that can help.
We are working hard to tailor our existing programmes so that we can protect even more lives from Covid-19. Over 50% of our food distributions will also contain hygiene essential deliveries.
